Increasing Website Traffic Through Blogs

Affiliate Marketing, Traffic 1 Comment »

It is no secret that blogs can do amazing things for a business.  Now we are beginning to
realize just how powerful they are and how they can work to increase traffic to your
website in no time.  By implementing some of the strategies below, you can do this
quickly and easily.

What is a blog?  It is a place for you to share your thoughts, ideas, and vision to the
world.  Reading blogs has become a hobby for many, and they use it to glean information
on various topics.  If you can hook in these readers, you could potentially have up to one
million website visitors a day!

First of all, you need to be aware of the template used to create the look of your blog.
Create a large banner to be placed in the center of the top of the page. This shows people
quickly what the blog is about and who is running it.  This can be a great hook to catch
people from the first time they view your site.

Choose carefully the look of your site because a person’s initial impression will come
solely from how aesthetically pleasing your blog is.  If you do not want to take the time
to create your own template, you can find many templates available online that are free or
cost a very small amount.  Use your favorite search engine to find these templates and
look around until you find the one that is perfect for you.

Next, you need to work on content for your site.  What is content?  Content refers to the
articles or postings that you write and publish on your blog.  You can use some sort of
blogging software that will help you in easily creating content and publishing it.  You can
also scour the internet for article sites that will provide content at little or no cost and will
allow you to post these on your site.  Having relevant content will help your site maintain
a strong readership by always offering them something new and interesting.

Finally, you can use pinging services to help draw people to your website.  Pinging
notifies the most popular search engines each time you make a change to your blog.  This
helps to move your blog up in the ranks of popular websites, making it higher on the list
of ones which viewers find first.  You can find a number of websites that offer pinging
services for free, so look around before selecting one.

There is no way to create a successful blog overnight.  It is a combination of hard work
and interesting content.  If you will take the time to create a unique template, write strong
content, and use available pinging services, you will have no trouble increasing website
traffic over time.  It is important to stay focused and not allow yourself to get discouraged
too quickly.  Once you build a readership, you will be able to keep them as long as you
are regular with postings and make sure that the information you provide is relevant.

The Benefits of Being an Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate Marketing No Comments »

In Today’s Affiliate Marketing Tip we are going to take a closer look at the Benefits of Being an Affiliate Marketer. I hope you are inspired to get started doing your own Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate Marketing has become the most effective way for merchants to promote products online. It is also one of the easiest ways for anyone with their own home-based Internet business to make a profit online. Let’s look at some of the benefits to promoting affiliate programs.

It goes without saying that if you want to sell something then you have to have a product to sell. The cost to develop and produce a new product is for most people who want to start a home-based business out of the question. With affiliate programs, production costs aren’t an issue. The product has already been developed and proven by the merchant - all at the merchant’s cost.

When you compare the costs of building a brick and mortar store with starting a home-based Internet business you’ll find that it’s relatively cheap. Most people already have a desk, a computer that’s connected to the Internet and word-processing software, which is actually all the equipment you really need to get started.

As an Affiliate Marketer you don’t have to carry an inventory. Even if you live in a small one- bedroom apartment, as an affiliate you can sell large items without storage concerns.

In addition, you will not have to process any orders. That means you can forget the problems associated with collecting and storing names, addresses, credit card numbers, etc. The merchant does all that for you! That also means no shipping of products. The cost and hassle to prepare and ship products to customers worldwide could be staggering. Affiliates never have to worry about packaging supplies or postal rates. These, along with customer service support such as dealing with customer complaints are the duties of the merchant.

Furthermore there is no need for an expensive merchant account. Setting up a merchant account for any business can be very time-consuming and costly. It’s even harder work for Internet businesses. However, merchant accounts aren’t a concern when you’re an affiliate. The merchant bears that cost and handles all processing of payments. You never have to lose sleep over potential chargebacks, fraud or losing your merchant account when you’re an affiliate.

One of the largest expenses of most businesses is employee salaries. Although there might be times when you need or want someone to work for you as an affiliate, it’s doubtful you’ll ever have to worry about hiring full or part-time employees. When you have a project you want to hire out, it is easy to find specialists in every computer- related field who can work for you from the comfort of THEIR own homes. You pay only for the project, and never have to worry about ongoing employee-related benefits and deductions.

Affiliate programs are usually free to join which means there are no fees or licenses to purchase and geographic market reach is, because of the global reach of the internet, limited only by your ability as an affiliate to promote your web site.

You can choose from thousands of products and services to promote. If you would make a list of what’s NOT sold online it would probably be much shorter than the one describing all that IS sold online. There are thousands and thousands of affiliate programs selling every product under the sun. That makes it very easy to find products related to your current or planned web site.

Many people are sceptical because they have absolutely no sales experience when they start their affiliate business. However, that’s no problem because most affiliate programs offer excellent support when it comes to providing marketing material. Using their sales copy, you can get your first affiliate site up and running in no time at all.

You can actually make money while you sleep. What other business allows you as a sole proprietor to keep your doors open and keep making money even when you take breaks or after you go home for the night?

Because of the global reach of the internet, it is the world’s largest marketplace. You can easily find thousands of prospects. You can intensify your advertising campaign by exploiting more aggressive and productive strategies such as viral marketing. By attracting more prospects, you also maximize your potential income.

Another benefit of an affiliate marketer is the minimal risk involved. If the product you are promoting is not making money then you can dump it and choose another. There are no long-term binding contracts tying you to products that are not making enough money

Last but certainly not least, the best benefit of being an Affiliate Marketer is the opportunity to increase your income. You can make a profit even if affiliate marketing is only a part time business. With your own affiliate business, you can easily earn extra income that is limited only by your desire, effort and imagination. Indeed, affiliate marketing is one of the simplest and most effective business opportunities on the web today.

That’s just a few of the good reasons to start your own online Affiliate Marketing business. Start today and benefit from this incredibly simple, cost-effective business opportunity known as Affiliate Marketing. The time is right, and the time is now.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing No Comments »

Our first Affiliate Marketing Tip isn’t so much a tip as it is an explanation so you will know what we are talking about on this Blog.

Affiliate Marketing has many descriptions, yet they all have the same meaning. Affiliate Marketing has become the most effective way for merchants to promote products online. It is also one of the easiest ways for anyone with their own home-based Internet business to make a profit online.

Every day, more and more people become interested in Affiliate Marketing and want to make money from it. It goes without saying that if you want to sell something then you would normaly have to have a product to sell. However the cost to develop and produce a new product is for most people who want to start a home-based business out of the question. With affiliate programs, production costs aren’t an issue. The product has already been developed and proven by the merchant - all at the merchant’s cost.

Affiliate Marketing by definition is an online advertising channel in which advertisers (online merchants that sell products or services) pay publishers (independent parties that promote the products or services of an advertiser on their Web site) only for results, such as a visitor making a purchase or filling out a form, rather than paying simply to reach a particular audience. This “pay-for-performance” model is in essence the modern version of the “finders’-fee” model, where individuals who introduce new clients to a business are compensated. The difference in the case of affiliate marketing is that advertisers only pay their publishers when the new client introduction results in a sale or a lead, making it a low-risk, high-reward environment for both parties.

Merchants in an Affiliate Network, like ClickBank or Commission Junction for example, populate their ad links in the interface, making them available for placement by publishers. Each link is assigned a commission, such as a fixed amount per lead or a percentage of a resulting sale on the advertiser’s Web site. Publishers looking to monetize their traffic apply to join an advertiser’s program. Upon acceptance, the publishers select and place the advertiser’s links on their Web sites, in their email campaigns or as part of search listings.

When a consumer clicks on a publisher’s link, a cookie is set on the visitor’s browser that identifies the advertiser, the publisher, and the specific link and payment rates. When the visitor makes an actual purchase online or fills out a form, that transaction is tracked and recorded by the Network. Upon recording the transaction, the Network handles all of the collection and processing required to ensure fair and timely commission payment for the publisher, and all of the administration and verification necessary to ensure quality sales and leads for the advertiser.

The merchant is any web site owner that wants or desires to take advantage of performance based marketing. The benefits to the merchant are many. First, the merchant maintains and operates the affiliate program. The merchant has access to markets and customers without him having to spend valuable time looking for them. It is also the merchant who decides how much he is willing to pay for each sale that results from a visitor sent from an affiliate.

The affiliate or the Affiliate Marketer also has a lot of benefits. The affiliate is a web site owner that promotes one or more merchants and their affiliate programs. Affiliate Marketing can generate a full-time income for the affiliate. Merchandisers often provide targeted, best-seller items and personal support to their affiliate. They often offer sales promotions that will benefit the merchandiser as well as the affiliate.

Affiliate Marketing is a great situation for both the marketer and the affiliate. If they both work together, it can be an advantage to both. Plus the fact that it is an easy and inexpensive way to for someone to get started. You can be up and running within a few days. But there are still some things to keep in mind, you need to get traffic and you need to make your offer different than all others. I’ll be posting more about these thing at a later time.
